Among the other network series Hal has produced are “Live From The White House,” winner of 3 EMMY AWARDS, the special, “Rhapsody And Song” featuring the EMMY AWARD winning performance of Sarah Vaughan. Hutkoff also produced the highly acclaimed series “Live From Wolftrap” and he created and produced the 30th anniversary special, “Jazz Comes Home To Newport” for PBS, NHK, Dentsu Inc. and JVC. This New York Film and Television Festival award-winning network program was broadcast throughout the United States and the Far East.
For ABC, Hal Hutkoff co-created, supervised and produced ABC Arts, the venture that became “The Arts & Entertainment Channel”, (A&E ). As Supervising Producer for the network he was responsible for creating the “on air” look of the network and for the production of all original MOW’s including “A Midsummer Nights Dream” with William Hurt and the award winning “The Dance And The Railroad” with John Lone.
Among Hutkoff’s credits as Executive Producer is “Summerfest,” a series of 12 network specials that included the productions, “Charlie Daniels-Live,” “Teddy Pendergrass From Hollywood,” and “Leonard Bernstein’s 65th Birthday Celebration.”
Hutkoff’s work in news is represented by his service as The PBS Network Pool Producer for the 1976 Presidential and “Vice Presidential Debate’s” and as Line Producer for coverage of both conventions the same year.
